Favorite TV Shows:
Used to watch Law and Order, some Court TV, some CSI, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Family Guy, Scrubs and movies on IFC when I could. Now thanks to my roommate, I am spoiled for choice with DirecTV, but I hardly watch TV any more.
Favorite Movies:
I cannot help that I like a lot of my movies sub-titled. For instance I much preferred the Infernal Affairs Trilogy (that's INFERNAL not INTERNAL) over The Departed. I have fallen in love with Across The Universe. Can I be Julie Taymor for just one day? All About My Mother One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Nightmare Before Christmas As Good As It Gets Pulp Fiction Monty Python and the Holy Grail The Others When Harry Met Sally Infernal Affairs I, II, & III Across the Universe Dirty Dancing (why not?) Jab We Met (whyever not?) Dick Tracy (I like my vivid colors and imagery, you see) An Open Position (Hey, I am in the credits. Michael, I hope your film making career goes places.) et al.
Favorite Books:
Joseph Heller will always be my favorite author (with Catch 22 being my favorite book), but I will read almost anything that I don't find dull. Does the three volume Complete Calvin and Hobbes qualify as a book... or maybe three? They are among my all time favorites.
I read several books while I was in India recently including Gone with the Wind by Margaret Mitchell, The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco, and The Vatican by Malachi Martin.
And now I find myself reading two books simultaneously: Sun Tzu's The Art of War as translated by Gary Gagliardi, The Black Panther (non-fiction)
